Hi All,
This is January the 8th and I had to come up with this brief!
I Quit!!
Now dont worry I am not gonna leave this world..haha I know the contextual usage of "I Quit" has changed after the advent of "3 Idiots". But last week has tested my character a lot and I had to make a real hard decision of quitting from my job.
I would like to term it as an "career move" which is quite critical and I would not be able to disclose the exact reason behind this step but again this is something very important. I would have to bear the financial consequences along with the prospect of losing out on a "safe job". But this is life isn't it?
I have heard that in life one has to make some real hard decisions and this is my real life face off.
Now I can proudly call myself as an "Voluntarily Unemployed" person...HAHA
Today is my last day at this office.
I would like to thank the seniors at my company for allowing me to move out so very swiftly and easily....Also a Thanx to all my colleagues and friends here for all their support..
Thank you!

Holiday Season cum Private Bash (Dec 23rd-Jan 3rd)
Hi all,
This is January the 4th and I am back again in my office! I sure could be killed one day due to this new found passion of writing blogs in the office.
Well getting to the matter at hand...I wish the Holiday season should have stayed forever....but this is life..and it has to go on. Now I would like to draw your attention to the last 10 days of my life which have been pretty much happening by God's Grace.
December the 23rd we had this huge annual party in our office. And we had this food and a lot of music and dance to go with. Alcohol was flowing. I tried to enjoy as I do not particularly drink and rather refrain from drinking. You can call me a teetotaler if you like but I do drink occasionally. Now all my efforts to enjoy went in vain...Why??
No good girls in FCS! Remember!;)
I would not add much to this but there were a few interesting things that happened later that night. There are couple of other offices in the same "FCS House" building and this party incidently was a joint venture. So as it turns out there were actually some girls at the fcs campus..
Description: They were all average looking females and they were not many. 3 to be precise!
for the first 2 hours all the girls must have had the "day of their lives" as all eyes were fixated on them and they must have realized that they were all being fantasized simultaneously by a lot of "female companionship starved" males of the great FCS.
Well sooner the girls disappeared as there was always a danger of "fantasy turning in to reality"..haha
To my surprise the party went wild after the girls left as alcohol was always there and all FCS guys got drunk. Its amazing what alcohol can do to you. For a moment I had a feeling that I was present in a gay party or a "gay parade" . So I actually decided to hid some where and escape as soon as I get an opportunity.
Then arrived the big day!!
24th easily was the best day of year 2009. I was happy that I could finally relax. It had been a hectic year and I desperately needed some time off . So I went to meet my friend Kunal and some other friend Mr.A in CP. (Name hidden on due request of our great Mr.A) The guy likes "Dhoom 2" so this name too was requested by the great guy himself.
We were having that usual chit chat and usual eye candy sightings. And suddenly...
Well a visit to CP always turns out to be a kind of mix. And it was all the same that day. You get to see a lot of single girls but at the same time you have to bear the sights of some morons enjoying with some real babes and suddenly you wonder that you too are the biggest moron and why the heck you don't have a girl walking beside you. Anyways we had to ignore all that and we moved on along the great inner circle of CP. Now life at CP was going on smooth until my friend Kunal decided to open his mouth and put forward a dangerous proposal. We guys love visiting some kind of obscure and haunted places and we had been eying this place called Bhangarh in Rajasthan for an year.
FYI We have had some history researching about these kind of spooky places in and around Delhi and our curiosity once led us to a place in the CP area which we felt was damn strange and scary as hell. It was incredible as we realized that there were a million people in that same area and no body had this clue man! So after conquering Delhi we thought about expanding our empire. And after doing some google we were sure that there is something strange in Bhangarh. Now this plan was in pipeline from March 2009 and never actually materialized due to transport and holiday issue.
Well getting back to that great proposal and so we decided to leave on 25th.
Now Kunal has two cars a great "Hyundai Santro" and a "Vintage Maruti 800" which actually dates back to the early 90s. We(me and Mr.A) assumed that anticipating the hardships of the planned journey Kunal would apply some common sense and would bring out his best car. But how stupid we were as he turns up with his great vintage car as if we were going for a vintage car rally in CP area. Initially we decided to give it a shot and then suddenly backtracked when we reached the NH-8. There was this NFS race which was going on and Kunal's mini DTC Bus simply could not match up. So after the best day I had to see the worst on the 25th.
26th , 27th were spent verbally abusing Kunal and watching TV.
27th-31st
I could have had gone any where but one has to consider family in every matter concerned. That's life for you again! So I went on a pilgrimage with my family.
It was great...
Back to Delhi January the 1st (Happy New Year)
I went for this movie called the "3 idiots" with my friends.. Well the same me , Kunal and Mr.A. It was just the right occasion with 3 idiots themselves present for the movie called "3 idiots"..movie was f**king hilarious.. simply amazing...but I tell you that it is actually the concept itself which makes this movie so great...I noticed some where in the news paper about the filmmaker questioning the reporter "Have you read the Book?"
I actually thought that the reporter should have responded that "You must have read it and that's why the movie came out so good" well these guys sure deserve a piece of hell... and Mr.Bhagat sure deserves much greater credit and everyone of us would agree with that. He is an icon for all of us.....
Well Jan the 2nd passed and the same movie was watched again and this time with the family.
Balancing is the principle of life in my book that is...
3rd passed in the horror of 4th arriving so soon...reality of life bites again and here I am in the office again.
Happy 2010 guys!
stay tuned for more...

2009 - My story
2009!
Professionally I did OK this year! As I was into a decent job and was doing fine when the industry was down with Recession. But Personally things were never good! There was a certain amount of vacuum which had crept in since the time we were done with our college.
All of the friends went missing! All of those eye candies got lost some where :( No friend to talk with forget the girl friend! I had to find some one at my office called "FCS". People here were a bit strange to start off and what made the matter worse was that there were virtually zero females and there aren't any good as of yet. No girls man! What are we talking about. This was very unlike my last office! Where I had minor flings last year..I saw here a lot of girls coming in for the interviews and I was real surprised none of them made it to any of the vacant seats around me. Hell! I had to gel with great seniors of FCS. What binded us together was the fact that market was real bad. None of the guys were performing. We kept on motivating each other to pass time! haha
The first 3 months passed some how as I described above. How ever now there were some serious challenges ahead for me both professionally and personally. I had been into this job for around 6 months (since 2008) and I had to get some results to save my butt. I was trying!! Some friends were made at FCS but they were all guys and I needed a gf to carry on this great life. Testosterone was taking its effect. Haha..
I got into this stupid online chatting thing and Was trying to get one of the 3 girls to get romantically linked with me. "( all 3 were always welcomed ;)).On the other hand I had a break through at FCS where I secured my job by sealing a deal in US.(Its a BPO industry Lolz) But the gf was still not there!
6 months passed and I was doing ok sort! Though as always I was trying to contemplate about future which I feel now is the most reckless thing one can do. Just enjoy the moment! Family was doing good and that gave me a lot of comfort.
There was a break through in chatting business as well. 6 months of night chatting some how clicked! Now I realize How I got into danger of losing my job during this time. Girl chatting along with business never go hand in hand. I met a girl named Pooja in July at Netaji subhash place . Why we met here because the place was very convenient for the girl and who was staying in Rohini and guess it was a metro station and one more reason was she said she particularly liked the BTW tikki shop opposite the metro station. I had a bad feeling at the moment I heard she liked tikki. The girl must have been on plumpy side. But I was wrong when I took that great metro ride from Shahdara metro to NSP metro. The girl was on a dusky side which I like very much and was thin. She was a real wise a$$ as clearly she did not like my looks and started to irritate me.. Started off by saying that you look ok but you need to go to gym.. Gym is a must for guys today! I said ok thats fine. We were having tikkis when she said that you don't look like a punjabi guy at all and rather you look like a bangali fella and I responded back that you too look like some one who is from Hampi and not Lahore. As she called herself a proud Lahori punjabi girl. She asked where is Hampi and I told her to find out.(Guys Hampi is in Karnataka and trust me local girls there belong to the "sad looking" race..HAHA) She asked about if I had a bike or a car and I said no as I was very good at traveling in Buses. She laughed out and said you never told me that online! I told her you were never like this online and that's it the disaster culminated!!
I went for the fried chicken at KFC below NSP metro station to overcome the pain. And I got out of this debacle quite easily as it is normal with me and was not the first time I screwed up with a Girl. I was never good at dating and this was my 4th attempt in 6 years.
I found one of my old college friend named Kunal and I had some one to discuss my personal tragedies. I also had one guy named Deepanshu at the office and trust me he is super looking dude and very good with girls. He offered me some assistance with girl friend department and I said its ok! I started passing time with Deepanshu during office hours and kunal during the non office hours. Glimpses of beautiful girls at kamala nagar market DU was a great remedy for the ongoing disease if I may call it.
Office was going great! But I was once again confused about my professional life and it was future again. Got into that reckless stuff once more!!:(
This time It was IAS or MBA as if I was an IIT pass out and If I could raise hell..
Again a waste of time and I carried on with this confusing life. I had a minor accident in September due to my great commuting mode in shape of great Delhi bus..
The family decided to buy a Car to end our prolonged traveling woes. It was a great respite for me and for me the Alto we got is nothing less than Aston Martin..the James Bond car.
The car endured a lot of pain initially with highly skilled driver in the drivers seat. Any ways it was a great respite and for me that enhanced my profile as an prospective Boy friend...HAha
9 months had passed and there was a jolt. My friend Deepanshu left the office for a possible MBA pursue in the US and GMAT prep. I was kind of alone again in this heavily crowded FCS. In fact a lot of people here mind their own business and those who do not are mind less. I just could not find another good friend at my office.
October! I had some trouble again at my office and this time it was with my senior manager. But this too passed. Online chatting was a thing of past and I tried to develop some kind of relationship with what ever options I had available on the ground. No success as yet but I am doing ok!
November was all right again. A lot of sole visits to CP for some shopping and family outings. Actually November marks the American holiday season with Thanks giving.
I got into December and that's only a continuation of the holiday season and I might take off some where when we reach December 24. No real vacations this year apart from one off Agra trip in torrid month of May.
2009 has been a mixed bag for me and I feel satisfied. I hope the next year bring success and happiness to all!!
Take care!

indian economy and the common man(1991-2008)
hi ..before reading my blog please take this fact into due consideration that here's a blogger who's naive at blogging. i really do apologize for some of my grammer as errors might have crept in while writing this blog and this is only my first attempt in writing some article over the internet.any positive comments would be highly appreciated.my focus in context of indian economy is the common middle class man of the country who's life depends upon his own hard work but at the same time his country's performance.and i hope this blog turns out to be informative for you as a summary to the indian economy and its effect on common man during the period (1991-2008)
as we are coming to the end of the 1st decade of whats been predicted as a remarkable century for india's economy things are not exactly moving as an indian middle class person would like it to move. since the year 1991 the sequence of events have been such that its been a roller coaster ride for the people in india as far as the economy is concerned. people are sometime made to dream big and sometime they are forced to reconsider their options.
indian economy was in turmoil by the year 1990.majority of the country was suffering from acute poverty.at that stage india's middle class structure was not as wide as it is today
but it was the potential driving force who could drive india into the future. And at that time options were very less for someone to work hard and make his livelihood.but there was a breakthrough which was round the corner. And that major breakthrough was liberalization which really altered the picture of common man in the country.
during the period 1991-1998 Dr. manmohan singh came into the picture as finance minister of india in the narsimha rao government. the economist had the vision for a new india as
he single handedly took india out of the economic slump which the country was in from the year 1947-1990 the phase in which there was no future for a poor country like india.a country which was popularly known in the western world as a place which was still living in dark ages.
but dr. manmohan singh turned it around for the common man in india.
as i look into the past i found that he opened the gates for the filthy rich western world to come and find some kind of a market for their giant hungry corporates.
the critics saw this as a latest invented form of imperialism the word called "liberalization". but a country where people wanted a better standard of life proved the critics wrong.their life was getting better than ever day by day. as major comercialization occurred through out the country. people had lot more oppurtunities than they had in the past.the mnc's came in ,the IT,ITes came into the thick of things. the services sector took the driving seat and specially the IT structure really began to take its own shape as people were really good at it.the entire economic structure got a new look. DR. manmohan singh was spot on in identifying india's economic problem and giving it a direction.our middle class structure was widening and its effect was showing as country started to move.during this period the major changes which took place in common man's life were a better standard of living and their acceptance of a foreign language called english as their own language. our high potential and proficiency in the language helped us bringing in heaps of dollars in form of IT and ITES.slowly this liberalization was changing india.
our gdp started to grow at 6% per annum compared to the average 3% growth during the period 1947-1990
during the period 1998-2003 in which india suffered from international blockades due to conducted nuclear tests in 1998 had to survive at a mere 4-5% annual economic growth. when i say a growth of 5 % a "mere" it really by no means proves that it was a poor growth rate.
but in a country of 1 billion+ it really doesnt promise any future. but india still had that hope of making it to the big league where it really belonged.
and that hope came alive when UPA govt came to power in 2004. and because that new hope was a man whom pakistan's president Mr. asif ali zardari referred as "father of modern india".
and every economic watcher knew him due to his economic policies during the period(1991-1996) which turned out to be gold for the country during his tenure as finance minister of india. that man was again dr.manmohan singh
but this time he was facing newer challenges this time the challenge was not to give direction but to accelerate the speed of indian economic growth such that it does not looses track. though he was helped by a couple of things firstly as the economic blockades were lifted (during the end mr.vajpayyes tenure) and secondly he had found a very able man in form of mr. p chidambram as finance minister of india. both of them took charge and began doing the speeding up process of economic growth and they were successful as india was on its way again and the period 2004-2007 saw india making giant strides and attaining an unprecedented gdp growth rate of 9.4% during the yr '07.
manufacturing joined in and industrial sector also witnessed massive growth due to heavy investments and strong performance of mighty domestic players like reliance and TATA.
considering the micro level the situation of middle class man was never this better in the history of independent india.
with opppurtunities galore he was always dreaming of something better.and on the macro level a new india was taking shape
the world watched in awe as this giant called india started moving at a healthy pace
world realized that this was a different india. a india who would alter the economic map in this 21st century.US president george bush recognized this fact as US recognized this fact for the first time and accepted india as a new major world power. bushes recognition paved way for the much awaited india's arrival at the international stage . india was offered the the nuke deal with out signing the ctbts and the npts. NSG open doors for india to access modern advanced technology. the nuke reactors, the unknown advanced software which runs it,the latest technology was now readily made available to india despite of some strong protest from certain sectors. and seemingly india's future was seeled big time
suddenly everything seemed rosy. india was moving. people were dreaming big.stock market booming. we were living in a different india altogether
but there was a twist in the tail as came the year 2008 and came the worst economic crisis the world had seen since the great depression of late 1920s. something called "subprime mortgage crisis" had a devastating effect on the giant american investment banks. some of them perished and some were sold.the world shook as it saw the inevitable .infact today there is some serious bloodbath in the world stock markets .and how these global crisis could have had left india alone . india in 2008 came directly under its effect. the markets, the growth rate and the industries are plunging down again.the dreams of a developed economy are getting dizzy day by day.people in india are loosing jobs. fuel prices are on a all time high.inflation rate is at all time high.india's huge middle class structure suddenly find itself shaking.jobs are scarce even in the services sector and now there is only one big question on my mind is the bubble of liberalization gonna bust? ...........
as we are coming to the end of the 1st decade of whats been predicted as a remarkable century for india's economy things are not exactly moving as an indian middle class person would like it to move. since the year 1991 the sequence of events have been such that its been a roller coaster ride for the people in india as far as the economy is concerned. people are sometime made to dream big and sometime they are forced to reconsider their options.

the critics saw this as a latest invented form of imperialism the word called "liberalization". but a country where people wanted a better standard of life proved the critics wrong.their life was getting better than ever day by day. as major comercialization occurred through out the country. people had lot more oppurtunities than they had in the past.the mnc's came in ,the IT,ITes came into the thick of things. the services sector took the driving seat and specially the IT structure really began to take its own shape as people were really good at it.the entire economic structure got a new look. DR. manmohan singh was spot on in identifying india's economic problem and giving it a direction.our middle class structure was widening and its effect was showing as country started to move.during this period the major changes which took place in common man's life were a better standard of living and their acceptance of a foreign language called english as their own language. our high potential and proficiency in the language helped us bringing in heaps of dollars in form of IT and ITES.slowly this liberalization was changing india.
our gdp started to grow at 6% per annum compared to the average 3% growth during the period 1947-1990
during the period 1998-2003 in which india suffered from international blockades due to conducted nuclear tests in 1998 had to survive at a mere 4-5% annual economic growth. when i say a growth of 5 % a "mere" it really by no means proves that it was a poor growth rate.
but in a country of 1 billion+ it really doesnt promise any future. but india still had that hope of making it to the big league where it really belonged.
and that hope came alive when UPA govt came to power in 2004. and because that new hope was a man whom pakistan's president Mr. asif ali zardari referred as "father of modern india".
and every economic watcher knew him due to his economic policies during the period(1991-1996) which turned out to be gold for the country during his tenure as finance minister of india. that man was again dr.manmohan singh
but this time he was facing newer challenges this time the challenge was not to give direction but to accelerate the speed of indian economic growth such that it does not looses track. though he was helped by a couple of things firstly as the economic blockades were lifted (during the end mr.vajpayyes tenure) and secondly he had found a very able man in form of mr. p chidambram as finance minister of india. both of them took charge and began doing the speeding up process of economic growth and they were successful as india was on its way again and the period 2004-2007 saw india making giant strides and attaining an unprecedented gdp growth rate of 9.4% during the yr '07.
manufacturing joined in and industrial sector also witnessed massive growth due to heavy investments and strong performance of mighty domestic players like reliance and TATA.
considering the micro level the situation of middle class man was never this better in the history of independent india.
with opppurtunities galore he was always dreaming of something better.and on the macro level a new india was taking shape
the world watched in awe as this giant called india started moving at a healthy pace
world realized that this was a different india. a india who would alter the economic map in this 21st century.US president george bush recognized this fact as US recognized this fact for the first time and accepted india as a new major world power. bushes recognition paved way for the much awaited india's arrival at the international stage . india was offered the the nuke deal with out signing the ctbts and the npts. NSG open doors for india to access modern advanced technology. the nuke reactors, the unknown advanced software which runs it,the latest technology was now readily made available to india despite of some strong protest from certain sectors. and seemingly india's future was seeled big time
suddenly everything seemed rosy. india was moving. people were dreaming big.stock market booming. we were living in a different india altogether
but there was a twist in the tail as came the year 2008 and came the worst economic crisis the world had seen since the great depression of late 1920s. something called "subprime mortgage crisis" had a devastating effect on the giant american investment banks. some of them perished and some were sold.the world shook as it saw the inevitable .infact today there is some serious bloodbath in the world stock markets .and how these global crisis could have had left india alone . india in 2008 came directly under its effect. the markets, the growth rate and the industries are plunging down again.the dreams of a developed economy are getting dizzy day by day.people in india are loosing jobs. fuel prices are on a all time high.inflation rate is at all time high.india's huge middle class structure suddenly find itself shaking.jobs are scarce even in the services sector and now there is only one big question on my mind is the bubble of liberalization gonna bust? ...........
